On Sunday, Ian was set apart as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surrounded by close family and priesthood leaders, he received a sacred priesthood blessing that gave him the authority and protection to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. As hands were gently laid on his head, the Spirit filled the room with peace and purpose. It was a powerful moment—one that marked the official beginning of Ian’s missionary service.
Being set apart means he now carries the mantle of a servant of the Lord. He’ll dedicate his heart, might, mind, and strength to inviting others to come unto Christ. It’s more than a title—it’s a calling from God. We’re so proud of Ian and know the Lord will go before him and be on his right hand and on his left (see D&C 84:88).
